Check your solar quotebefore you sign.
Understand what you are actually being quoted for, what the finance could really cost, what you might have missed and exactly what to ask your installer before you commit.
Free during launch. One useful page is fine. By uploading, you agree to our Terms and Privacy Notice. We don’t store the raw file after the check.
Already have two quotes? Check them together →A structured check, with the working visible.
QuoteCalm separates what your quote actually says from calculations and guidance. Important findings can be traced back to the document, and uncertain figures are flagged rather than quietly treated as fact.
Price, equipment, warranties, finance terms and installation details stay tied to the source document.
System size and finance totals are calculated from the figures shown rather than guessed in prose.
11 × 515W = 5.67kWp
QuoteCalm applies defined checks, then promotes only the few points likely to matter before signing.
Open “Why we’re saying this” in a report to see the supporting quote text where available.
Check them together. See what actually matters.
Upload both and QuoteCalm will tell you what genuinely differs, flag the easy-to-miss details that could affect your decision, and give you the questions worth asking before you choose.
Solar quotes mix sales claims, technical detail and finance figures.
QuoteCalm pulls out what matters, checks the numbers and tells you what to ask before you sign.
The decision, made clearer.
Everything that can change the conversation with your installer.
QuoteCalm turns whatever you have into the parts that matter before you commit thousands of pounds.
See the headline price in the context of the system and inclusions actually shown — and when there is not enough evidence for a fair market judgement.
Understand the package price →Where the figures are shown, see what the repayments could mean overall rather than focusing only on the monthly amount.
See the longer-term cost →QuoteCalm promotes only the installation, equipment, warranty and assumption gaps that are genuinely worth asking about.
Notice the important bits →Get a short practical list based on your actual quote, ready to copy as questions or as a complete message to the installer.
Know exactly what to ask →What you uploaded: Solar proposal · useful partial check. Made-up example only — not a customer testimonial or market benchmark.
A quote can look complete and still leave important questions unanswered.
The useful part is not simply extracting the numbers. It is knowing which few points deserve your attention, why they matter and what to ask next.
- Quoted facts kept separate from QuoteCalm calculations
- Finance costs calculated where the quote provides enough figures
- Only decision-useful issues promoted in the main result
- Evidence available for important findings where the quote supports it
- Questions you can copy and send straight back to the installer
Upload. Understand. Know what to ask.
No account, no phone number and no installer sales follow-up.
A PDF, photo or screenshot. One useful page is enough to start; add more only if you already have them.
QuoteCalm checks the facts, calculations and easy-to-miss details, then promotes only the handful that genuinely deserve your attention.
Get plain-English next steps and a short message you can send back before signing.
What’s the catch?
QuoteCalm is designed to be useful to the person buying solar, not to generate installer leads. Need more detail? Our solar quote guides cover price, batteries, finance, warranties and installer checks.
Why is the quote check free?
QuoteCalm is free during launch. The first 500 checks also help build a stronger de-identified dataset of UK solar quotes so future comparisons can become more useful without turning your upload into a sales lead.
Can I compare two quotes?
Yes. If you already have two quotes, our two-quote check gives you the same QuoteCalm approach across both: what genuinely differs, what you might have missed and the questions worth asking before you choose.
Will my details be passed to installers?
No. We do not ask for a phone number and we do not pass your contact details to installers for sales calls.
Can an installer pay to influence my result?
No. Installers cannot pay to change the outcome of a QuoteCalm check or receive a better ranking in your result.
Do you keep my uploaded quote?
The raw uploaded file is not stored after the check. We retain limited structured, de-identified information in line with our Privacy Notice so the service can improve its UK comparison data.
Can I upload a screenshot instead of the full PDF?
Yes. One screenshot can be enough for a useful partial check. QuoteCalm identifies when an upload looks more like a package page or partial proposal and will not treat missing contract terms as proof that an installer omitted them. You can run another check with the full proposal later if you have it.
Can QuoteCalm tell me exactly what my system should cost?
Not always. Property-specific factors can materially affect price and QuoteCalm does not yet have enough like-for-like market data to make a strong price judgement in every case. It will tell you what the price covers, what the finance means and when the evidence is not strong enough for a market comparison.
See what matters. Notice what you might have missed. Know what to ask.
