What to check
- Company name and contact details match

- Consumer-code membership checked
- Full equipment models stated
- Deposit is reasonable and protected
- Cooling-off/cancellation terms understood
Verify the contracting company
Make sure the legal company named on the contract is the same organisation whose credentials and reputation you have checked. Similar trading names can create confusion.
Understand what happens if something changes
Site surveys can reveal technical issues. Ensure you understand how variations to the specification or price will be agreed and what cancellation rights apply.
